About BMX RV
What BMX RV is, what this domain used to be, where the guides' figures come from, and the rules every guide follows.
BMX RV is an independent guide to buying and owning a used RV in the United States: how to find one, inspect it, compare the types, pay for it, insure it and look after it.
What this domain used to be
From about 2009 to 2016 this domain hosted an RV classifieds site - used RV and motorhome listings, dealer pages and RV loan advertising. That site closed years ago. BMX RV is a new, independent guide with no connection to it: it lists no RVs, has no dealers or sellers, and does not arrange loans or insurance.
Where the figures come from
Every figure on this site - a length, a weight, a voltage, a stay limit, a date - comes from one fact sheet compiled from settled public sources: NHTSA, the Department of Transportation, NFPA standards, IRS publications, the Bureau of Land Management, and the RV industry's published class definitions. Each guide is checked against that sheet before it is published, and a figure that is not on it does not appear. Rules that differ from state to state are not stated as fact; the guides send you to your state DMV instead.
What the guides do not do
The guides quote no prices, loan rates or loan terms, and name no RV makers, dealers, marketplaces, lenders or insurers. They are general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Propane, gas and electrical work on an RV is a job for a qualified RV technician.
